Shaq’s Florida Mansion Is On The Market For A Lazy US$28m

Boom. Big Shaq.

It’s on the market, duPont Registery is reporting, and not just any old pad, but Shaquille O’Neal’s former Florida mansion to the tune of $28 million USD.

Spilling over 31,000 square feet, his waterfront estate can be found at 9927 Giffin Court in Windermere, Florida. The three acres on the private golf club land of Isleworth overlooks Lake Butler, and naturally, 6,000 square feet of the aforementioned space is dedicated to a custom indoor basketball court.

Shaq’s ‘Superman’ logo finds itself branded across the property alongside a hand-crafted wood panelling and trim theme that runs throughout. The two-story main room with colossal ceilings and a grand marble fireplace harks back to vibes of pre-war 1920’s Casablanca.

The room for outdoor activities, however, is the most impressive, the estate encomapssing a 15-foot-deep pool that stretches 95 feet long. A custom rock waterfall sits at one end and the sunken spa is at the opposite end, with a submerged swim-up bar and covered cabana amongst it all.

The tiki-style cabana accommodates a summer kitchen also, to keep the party outside during prime weather. You’ll find a 17-car showroom (who really needs 17 cars?) and a 2,100-square-foot secondary garage for the daily drives. The “gentleman’s room” houses pool tables, another bar, a dedicated wine refrigerator and a climate-controlled cedar plank humidor and cellar.

Not bad, Shaquille O’Neal, not bad at all.
