Big news for AP lovers as the fan favourite Audemars Royal Oak ‘Jumbo’ ultra-thin is being released in a yellow gold. The manufacturer only recently started re-releasing certain watches from the Royal Oak collection in yellow gold.
Measuring 39mm, the new model features two tapisserie dial types, a blue and a gold coloured one. The watch features a date window at three o’clock and the hallmark AP logo at six o’clock. Powered by the reliable caliber 2121 automatic movement that is found in the original Royal Oak from 1972, measuring just 3.05mm thick.
The ref. 15202 was first re-introduced in steel and rose gold versions, released in 2012 for the 40th anniversary of the Royal Oak. Audemars Piguet decided to bring the yellow gold back with this non-limited edition piece to mark the 40th anniversary of the Royal Oak being in made in precious metals.
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Ultra-Thin ‘Jumbo’ In Yellow Gold will retail for $55,400 USD, with either a gold or blue dial.
